We are looking for a Cafe Manager/Head Barista who has had experience in a fast paced cafe. Someone who is passionate about great coffee and food and who gets along with people.

Fast paced morning coffees (code black) from the side window start the day, then regular trade of a healthy based breakfast and lunch menu with hints of asian influences.

The TMC team is currently made up of of 3 baristas, 4 wait staff and 2 chefs working shifts over 7 days

Hours of operation:
M-T 6am – 2pm W-F 6am-4pm Sat – 7-3pm Sun- 8am-3pm

We are in our second phase close to completion of our back courtyard /bar and require a new manager to come on board and be responsible for the team and all aspects of running a cafe.

Great vibe in shop! Staff have a good rapport with customers and a strong focus on working in a team environment
This position would be suited to someone who has vast hospitality experience in a fast paced café/ bar environment. Approximately 30-35 hrs/wk and may turn into a full time position for the right candidate.

Minimum 2 years cafe experience necessary.
This is very much a front of house role and exceptional customer service skills are essential. You must be strong on the coffee machine, have the ability to multitask whilst maintaining attention to detail and service that our customers have come to expect.

Job tasks and responsibilities
- Ensure consistency of service and quality of product to our customers
- Stocktakes, procedures, recruitment, KPI's, OH&S and Work Safety
- Supervision and training of employees;
- Maintaining stock levels through monitoring of wastage and effective ordering;
- Administrative duties including collecting invoices recording of food safety requirements);
- Cleaning duties including like all staff washing dishes , mopping when requires tidying dish area, as we are a team

* Barista skill set
* Minimal food prep (banana breads/ smoothie bowls)
* Staff training
* Customer service
* Retail Sales
* Cash Register (Odermate) & EFTPOS operation
* Cleaning
* Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety
* Knowledge of dietary needs
* Leadership to be able to direct and motivate the team to achieve KPI's/consistency
* Direction to staff (including kitchen) to ensure cafe runs smoothly and all procedures are being followed
* Initiative
* Drive - to motivate staff, increases customer sales, look at new additions to menu.
* Communication: talking to customers, listening to their needs and finding a solution
* Friendly and respectful
* Problem-Solving Skills: Being able to quickly solve the issue is required
* Potential involvement in function / events & Promotions of Venue
* RSA preffered, however not required
